Why I wrote this book

John the Lion began with the bedtime stories I made up for my children. As a musician, I loved improvising, and those adventures became a special way for us to laugh, imagine, and connect.

As they grew older, my children encouraged me to share the stories with other families. I wrote this book to carry that sense of wonder and connection beyond our own bedtime.

I hope John’s adventure gives your family a chance to dream together, too.
